Paul Treuer is recently retired as Associate Professor of Developmental Education in the University of Minnesota Duluth’s (UMD) office of Academic Affairs.  In his role as Director of the Supportive Services Program, Paul promoted peer-to-peer collaborative learning strategies that support learners to be successful while in college and well prepared for lifelong learning following graduation.  He provided leadership as part of a team that is building a Learning Commons in the campus Library to provide multiple academic support services in a collaborative learning environment.  

 

Paul’s passion is student success.  He is a national and international leader in two areas of learning support designed to promote student success – credit-based peer tutoring and ePortfolio. He has spoken and written widely on both topics.
